The Jed Luckless Band rocks Greenwich, CT at the Beach House Cafe, returning to one of their regular haunts with a mix of Grateful Dead, Phish and original music.

First set starts off with the pop rock original “Still In Luv With U”, followed up by a nice “Rock And Roll> Dear Prudence” combo, a favorite two punch from the boys. The set features a groovetastic “Eyes Of The World” jam and a strong showing from the original “Englishtown” with a nice “Rider” follow-up. Phish phans are not forgotten with the set closing “Suzy Greenberg,” featuring Mickey from Rusty Chicken on guest vocals.

Second set blasts off with the band’s tale of a melting planet, “Ozone Blues” and features a couple nice classic rock cover tunes in “After Midnight” and “All Along The Watchtower.” The new JLB tune “Going On A Road Trip” is a super fun segue out of a sweet “Shakedown” jam. The Jed Luckless Band returns to the Beach House to rock a Friday night crowd  in Greenwich, CT, and does not disappoint! The boys bust right out of the gate with the Grateful Dead’s “Shakedown Street,” jamming it out nicely and sliding right into their original “Queen Lucille.” Other highlights of the nearly eighty minute first set include a nice long “Victim Of The Rhythm,” a wicked “Cities”/”Sugaree” combo and a smokin’ “Ozone Blues” and “Deal” sandwich to wrap it up.

The shorter second set still packs quite a punch, starting off strongly with the Kenny Kaufman tune “Saw Mill River” and including JLB cover favorites “Rock and Roll” and “Eyes Of The World”, along with a couple of bustouts in “Little Red Rooster” and “The Mighty Quinn.”

Another great show and with more JLB at the Beach House to look forward to over summer! Enjoy 🙂

The JLB returns to Secondlife with a rocking show at August West Amphitheater. It’s hard to tell the boys have been on hiatus, ‘cos they deliver some tasty jams, choice originals and a bunch of fun covers.

The band launches energetically into SILWU to open the show, then settles into a song based short first set. The execption is the Phish tune “Nothing” which the boys jam out nicely.

Second set provides more of the jamminess we know and love from JLB, as they kick it off with an eleven minute VOTR. “Runaway Jim” packs a nice jam punch, and the Kenny original “Saw Mill River” also has a sweet middle jam piece. The 2112 homage is fun and a couple of energetic tunes wrap up the evening!

Jammin Jed’s Halloween Circus
Darkstar (SL)

It’s Jammin Jed’s Halloween Circus! The third annual halloween show from Jed Luckless. This year he brings along The Jed Luckless Band for the ride. Well, the JLB Trio, since they were without their bass player Ken.

But no worries, Mark G. fills in on keys, bass and vocals and even Stram gets in on the singing fun. The trio holds up incredibly well and gives the crowd of clowns and animals a jam filled show with the classic JLB sound.

First set features a nice “BOTT” jam into “VOTR”, and a super fun “Scent of A Mule” with story by Jed and a vocal sandwich from Mark. The second set has a few nice solo Jed moments, including an abbreviated version of Phish’s “Horse”. Mark belts out “Little Red Rooster” while Jed makes good use of his slide. The set’s jam comes in a nice “Rock and Roll” with mark on bass duties, into an appropriate Halloween “Ghost.” The show wraps up with a bouncy “Mighty Quinn” from the band and the obligatory “Pumpkin Song” from Jed.

A fun Halloween party and a great performance by the JLB Trio! Enjoy 🙂
